April Favorites

Hey friends!!!

I wanted to take the time to share some of the little things in life I've been enjoying lately, and trust me, ya wanna know about 'em.

First and foremost, let's talk all things Riverdale the tv show.
Guys, I'm obsessed. This show is everything my murder mystery, star-crossed lovers, and some serious drama loving heart could ask for. It has all of the current day references to pop culture you would want, but it also has old cars, retro diners, and vintage outfits that are to die for! It's truly a masterpiece. The season finale is this Thursday and I'm already so excited for season two that I can't stand it!

More specifically in Riverdale is the character Betty Cooper.
If you know anything about me then you'll watch one episode of this show and know that Betty Cooper is me, and I am Betty Cooper. Seriously, she is my long lost tv show soul sister that I never knew I needed and she is incredible. Betty's character is developed through the first few episodes so well, but the episode where she revamps the school newspaper and uses it bust out the jerk football players is the best moment ever. Maybe that's because yours truly did the same thing with her newspaper her junior year of high school (whoops, sorry-not-sorry), or maybe its because it shows how the little perfect priss everyone thought she was, was actually more. Betty. Is. Everything.

Anyways, continuing with favorites not related to Riverdale (can't get over it y'all), I've also been loving the neck tie scarf trend. Neck tie scarfs are the last trend I thought would lust after, but honestly they are so much fun to wear and add so much to a simple outfit. I only have two at the moment, a pretty yellow one from Aerie and a classic striped chambray one from Target, but I get compliments on my outfit anytime I wear them. They're game changers for any outfit for sure.

If you know me well you know that there's two pieces of jewelry that I wear everyday. One of those pieces of jewelry being my paw print earring and the more recent addition is this amazing bracelet from The Giving Keys! I love their line of mini keys, so for my 19th birthday I treated myself to this bracelet that says "Hope" on it. It's become my everyday reminder to remain hopeful in all that I face day to day and I love it to pieces. You can find my specific style of bracelet here along with all of the other words that it comes in.

Since being in college, I haven't had as much time as I'd like to spend reading. However, this book written by Jess Connolly and Hayley Morgan is one that I definitely made time for! Wild and Free is one of those books you feel like was written specifically for you. I loved it so much that I literally highlighted and took notes on the pages that really stood out to me! If you're a Christian girl that feels like she is always both "too much" or "not enough" in your daily life, then this is definitely a book that you are going to want to check out!

Finally I wanted to close with another jewelry favorite that is honestly so unique and b-e-a-utiful! The purple Avery Choker from Shop Lazy Daisy is honestly what all of my boho-fashionista dreams are made out of, and at only $15 it can't be beat. In this picture I styled the best seller with a floral mid-length dress and a pair of Birkenstocks. The creator of this beautiful jewelry shop is actually a good friend of mine from high school, and she will be attending Auburn University in the fall... So all my Auburn friends, definitely check out her shop! The quality is amazing and her prices are better than anything you'll find in downtown for sure!

Those are a few of my favorites for now, let me know if you decide to check any of them out, especially Riverdale! Comment some of your current favorites here or on my latest Instagram photo. I wanna know what you all are loving at the moment too!
